My microwave sucks for popcorn. And other equally grave matters.
My microwave is awesome. It does a great job on lots of things. But it sucks for popcorn. My old microwave was great for it--push the popcorn button and come back when it's done. Simple. This one burns it to a crisp if you use the popcorn button. And so we've been trying to figure out the magical setting to do it manually. We've tried adjusting both the time and the power settings, but it seems that it will either burn or leave a zillion unpopped kernels. We did two bags in a row once on the same power setting. There was a 2 second difference in how long they were left in. One was burned, the other was full of unpopped kernels. And sometimes it burns AND has unpopped kernels (yes, I know there will always be some but I'm talking about a lot). I think it may be a Communist conspiracy.

As to the other equally grave matters, I lied about those. There are no other matters as grave as my popcorn situation.
